The 2x4 is delicately balanced on a watch glass which turns easily on a plate of glass. Small marks on board help align board on watch glass.

A 2x4 and an aluminum rail are used to compare conductors and insulators. Rabbits fur charges the acrylic rod. A hair dryer removes moisture from the fur.

Description: An acrylic rod is rubbed on rabbits fur an then held close, but not touching, the 2x4. The induced charges start the 2x4 rotating. Switch the rod to the other side of the 2x4 and bring it to a halt.
