helps reveal the shocking truth about Gas Station fires on Channel 10 News!On November 12th, Channel 10 news reported on gas station fires caused by static electricity. They reported that static-caused fires have occurred when people are fueling their cars. They suggested people should discharge before touching the nozzle. Jim Krider and Tim Cook of ASU's PIRT assisted Channel 10 by demonstrating Van de Graaff and Wimshurst generators for the 9 PM newscast. Wayne Easterling of ASU's PIRT provided the screen captures of the newscast.
