Synchronizing Metronomes

Description
Multiple metronomes are placed on a foam board and started at different times. When the board is placed on empty soda cans or another low-friction surface, the movement of the board allows the metronomes to interact mechanically. Over time, the metronomes synchronize their ticking rates due to the coupling effect through the moving base. This demonstration shows the phenomenon of synchronization in coupled oscillatory systems, often referred to as coupled oscillators.
