Smashing Spheres

Description
When two large spheres are smashed together with a piece of paper in between, the intense pressure at the point of contact generates enough heat to vaporize the paper. This rapid temperature rise is a direct result of the conversion of mechanical energy into thermal energy, highlighting the concept of heat generation through work. The demonstration vividly illustrates the first law of thermodynamics, where energy is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one form to another. The burning smell of the vaporized paper provides a sensory confirmation of the energy transformation process.
