Description
Use the FLIR ONE Pro Gen 3 thermal camera to see examples of conduction, convection, radiation, latent heat, or insulation.
Possible demonstrations:
- Black trash bag (see through)
- Pyrex casserole dish (absorbs IR)
- Alcohol (to make fire)
- Methanol (to make fire)
- Whiteboard (reflection)
- Heat transfer on lab table
- Warming/cooling of hands via friction or ice water bath
- Warming of friction blocks on each other (wood vs felt)

Equipment Requirements
The FLIR camera requires an iOS device with Lightning connector, such as iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Vernier Thermal Analysis Plus app or other FLIR-compatible app Vernier Thermal Analysis Plus app requires iOS 11 or newer.
Preparation & Instructions
To broadcast video stream on iPhone join a Zoom meeting and join on the instructor PC.
